
Al-Taj News – The first week of the Jordanian CFI Professional League for the 2026/2027 season concluded on Saturday evening, September 5.
The round opened with Al-Baqa’a defeating hosts Daqoura 1-0, with Mohamed Al-Akash scoring in the 10th minute.
Jordan Youth drew 1-1 with visiting Al-Ramtha, with Al-Ramtha’s Al-Housseini Gassama scoring in the 47th minute, while Saul Castro equalized for Jordan Youth in the 90+1st minute.
The match between Al-Wehdat and Al-Faisaly ended in a goalless draw.
Al-Salt defeated hosts Al-Arabi 3-1, with Suleiman Babatunde scoring twice in the 25th and 76th minutes, and Khaled Issam scoring in the 65th minute, while Ahmed Shdeifat scored Al-Arabi’s only goal in the 47th minute.
The round concluded with Al-Jazeera defeating hosts Al-Hussein 5-0, with Ahmed Al-Harashah scoring a hat-trick in the 3rd, 40th, and 45+5th minutes, while Rashid Shawahneh scored in the 58th minute and Yaseen Al-Bakhit in the 69th minute.
With these results, Al-Jazeera top the league on goal difference over Al-Salt and Al-Baqa’a, with each team having 3 points, while last season’s champions, Al-Hussein Irbid, sit at the bottom of the standings.
